In Chester, England, in 1902 this locket made its debut as a treasured trinket to adorn the lady that owned it. This rare antique sterling silver locket is embossed on the front quatrefoil and shield design with four corners gracing the corners. The over 100 year old book shaped pendant opens and is ready to hold a beloved treasure or pair of photographs. While I try to keep my collection strictly to items in mint condition, this locket does have some denting and dings on the back; however, I have included it in my collection as this does not distract from its wonderful beauty and only adds to its history. This pendant is fully hallmarked and dangles on a new mini paperclip chain of sterling silver hand finished with a lobster clasp and ring.
