A wonderful vintage Birks sterling silver oval locket is engraved with a rare filigree, pinstripe, and oval design. The gorgeous circa 1940's locket is crowned in the signature filigree inspired top of the renown jeweler Birks and Sons of Canada. The genuine vintage silver locket opens to reveal two removable frames ready to hold your beloved photographs, lock of hair, inspirational quote, poem, love letter, lace, date, or memento of your choice. The locket dangles on a new sterling silver cable chain hand finished with a lobster clasp and ring. While I try to keep my collection strictly to lockets in mint condition, you can see that an initial was buffed out of the center oval. The initial is no longer present but shows signs of it being buffed out which does not distract from the beauty of this rare piece.
